The Story of Karem

Eric Proye, pastry chef and glacier master, settles down in Phnom Penh in 1999. This is the favorite of this country and its inhabitants. After a fruitful collaboration as a pastry chef with The Shop, Eric convinced his wife, Srey Neang, into the artisanal production of ice cream and sorbet. Soon enough, restaurants, cafes and hotels of the Kingdom are conquered by the quality of these first ice cream made in Cambodia. From Phnom Penh to Battambang, via Siem Reap and Kampot, the best hotels trust Karem. The secret of this success also lies largely in the family spirit within the company.
